ACME: An Automated Tool for Generating and Evaluating the Quality of VoIP Calls
نویسندگان
چکیده
ACME, an automated tool for generating and evaluating the quality of VoIP calls, is presented. ACME examines the availability of bandwidth and processing capacity to determine the largest number of simultaneous calls that a node can operate in a given topology, besides supporting pre-programmed schedule of VoIP experiments. Demos of ACME usage as a capacity estimation tool and as an instrument for monitoring of an IP telephony production service show its effectiveness and versatility.

Developing Fuzzy Models for Estimating the Quality of VoIP
This paper presents a novel method for modeling the one-way quality prediction of VoIP, non-intrusively. Intrusive measures of voice quality suffer from common deficiency that is the need of reference signal for evaluating the quality of voice. Owing to this lack, a great deal of effort has been recently devoted for modeling voice quality prediction non-intrusively according to quality degradat...

The purpose of this work is to evaluate the quality of encrypted VoIP calls with different encryption algorithms through OpenVPN software, in order to identify differences in results between encryption algorithms and also differences between non-encrypted and encrypted calls. This evaluation will take into account the MOS (Mean Opinion Score), a method to indicate user satisfaction of voice com...
متن کاملAnalysis and Modeling of VoIP Servers: A Linear Programming Approach
The SIP protocol was standardized by the IETF at the application layer for initiating, managing, and terminating multimedia sessions and has been widely used as the main signaling protocol on both the Internet and VoIP networks. Most challenges in this protocol are overload and lack of proper state distribution. These challenges cause a wide range of next-generation network users to face a shar...
متن کاملMonitoring based on statistical analysis for evaluating speech quality of calls in VoIP environment
Monitoring call quality in a Voice over IP (VoIP) environment has great importance to collect information about those calls on the network. Packet loss on the network and de-jitter buffer, delay and subjective speech evaluation using the E-Model will enable the manager to verify the quality of calls. This article proposes the development of an agent to implement objects with statistical data ab...
متن کاملEvaluating Data Networks for VoIP Readiness
Our focus is on organizations that deploy and troubleshoot voice over IP (VoIP) networks. These groups may be professional services or pre-and post-sales engineering groups. A big problem with VoIP is the quality of calls, which is most affected by convergence with existing data network traffic. In most scenarios, the data network will require tuning in order to achieve acceptable quality for v...
